I came over to Matt's early this morning to wait to let someone into his condo. It's been hard to find time to see each other lately so I wanted to be here before he left for work. Morning is always our favorite time together. Matt makes coffee for me in his french press and we sit out on the deck. Behind me through the jungle that's grown up is one of the most beautiful skylines you'll ever see, especially at night. I actually have two paintings of it in my room that my mom did in watercolors when I first moved to Atlanta.
My eggplant dress is from Express. It's a few months old, but there are still some very similar, shorter styles available for less than $30. The cape, originally from Boston Proper, is very old. It's a perfect weight for most Fall and Winter days here. I did find some fairly inexpensive capes, but none that are the exact loose style that I like so much about this one. My exact Steve Madden
d'orsay flats are still available. These have been the "new ballet flat" this season. I've overworn them, so they're now very comfortable. I guess I'll have to get a new pair whenever these wear out. I saw last night that Forever 21 is extending their Cyber Monday deals for one more day due to technical issues yesterday. I still love a good Forever find. Their clothes have always been surprisingly long-lasting for me.
My office Christmas party is coming up on Friday night at my favorite restaurant. I haven't been to work in almost two weeks because of exams. Maybe they'll be extra excited to see me. I have a couple of ideas for what to wear, but I'm really open to suggestions. Do y'all have any holiday office party looks to share?'
